Edwin Jeffery

Edwin Jeffery (b.1949), a retired Tennessee fire-fighter, has been carving since 1975. His images are derived from Biblical and contemporary cultural sources, and he often works with exotic woods like African mahogany. His work is in the permanent collection of the Brooks Museum in Memphis, TN, and has been featured in Raw Vision magazine. He also appears in the Encyclopedia of Southern Culture (UNC Press, 1989).
