Richard Burnside

(b. 1944) Baltimore MD

Richard Burnside started painting around 1980, while employed by a Charlotte, North Carolina restaurant. He returned to the area where he grew up, in South Carolina, in 1983. His paintings are expressions of the scenes of "ancient times" which he encounters in dreams. His favorite subjects are kings, queens, wolves, and other animal or insect forms.
